Inside leg trip from over under clinch

  • Starting in over under clinch. (Left overhook, right underhook).

  1. Reach up with right hand and grab their shoulder/trap.

  2. Circle right foot back as you drag them to step forward with their left foot.

  3. Shuffle feet in to get right foot stepped in, toes on the ground, knee pointing left.

  4. Pull down on their shoulder/trap as you lift the overhook and lean forward to finish takedown.

  5. Finish in guard.

Knee pick from over under clinch after attempting inside leg trip.

  • Starting in over under clinch. (Left overhook, right underhook).

  1. Starting in over under clinch. (Left overhook, right underhook).

  2. Reach up with right hand and grab their shoulder/trap.

  3. Circle right foot back as you drag them to step forward with their left foot.

  4. Shuffle feet in to get right foot stepped in, however partner steps their left leg back to avoid the trip.

  5. Bring the left overhook hand down to block their right knee.

  6. With hand blocking the knee, run forward and reach up to the sky with arm to create force with the shoulder to drive them over.

  7. Finish in side control with crossface and underhook.

Back crucifix

Back crucifix sitback setup from side back, finish lapel choke with scissor finish.

  • Starting in side back position with seatbelt control (right side).

  1. Wedge left knee behind their elbow and push it out.

  2. Control the hand with your right hand.

  3. Connect your right foot to your knee and onto the ground to trap arm.

  4. Seatbelt grip and sit backwards to fall to back crucifix.

  5. Feed lapel with left control hand to right choking hand.

  6. Slide left arm (still under their arm) behind the head.

  7. Pull lapel and apply pressure to back of head with left forearm to finish choke.

Back crucifix dive roll setup to crucifix, finish with armbar.

  • Starting in side back position with seatbelt control (right side).

  1. Wedge left knee behind their elbow and push it out.

  2. Control the hand with your right hand.

  3. Connect your right foot to your knee and onto the ground to trap arm.

  4. Climb up over partner to feed left hook in on the far side.

  5. Dive roll over the left shoulder keeping their left arm hooked, using right leg around their arm to assist roll.

  6. After landing belly up, throw right leg over as crossface and finish armbar.

Taking the back with arm trapped when they bridge in back crucifix, one arm choke finish.

  • Starting in side back position with seatbelt control (right side).

  1. Wedge left knee behind their elbow and push it out.

  2. Control the hand with your right hand.

  3. Connect your right foot to your knee and onto the ground to trap arm.

  4. Seatbelt grip and sit backwards to fall to back crucifix.

  5. *Partner bridges up on you to pin your movement.*

  6. Keep their arm trapped with your right leg, slide hips under and get left hook over their hip, falling onto right side.

  7. Using left hand to control their left arm, slide choke in with right arm.

  8. Finish one arm choke.

Passing rubber guard

Loop choke

Loop choke from kneeshield halfguard.

  • Starting with kneeshield halfguard.

  1. Use right hand to grab opposite lapel with fingers in around chestline.

  2. Remove kneeshield and use left hand to snap their head down towards your right armpit together with pull from lapel.

  3. Slide left arm under right forearm behind back of their neck.

  4. Angle to the left whilst throwing your left leg over their back.

  5. Use left forearm to push down on back of their neck as you pull right elbow back to get finish and using left hamstring to also help push away.

Kneebars from bottom position

Kneebar from bottom halfguard using spring setup.

  • Starting in bottom halfguard, partner seated up.

  1. Post left hand on their far shoulder (left) and using right arm scoop their far leg (left).

  2. Swing your left leg in front and around their head to land in turtle position with toes on the ground. Leg still scooped.

  3. Feeling their hips on top of you, use toes to spring up back in the direction you came to knock them off balance.

  4. Land on your left side and reach up with left hand to secure their heel/ankle.

  5. Bring both arms up, square up and connect chest to their shin.

  6. Extend backwards with knees pinched to finish.

Rolling kneebar from turtle position.

  • Starting in turtle with partner behind and their left leg in between your legs.

  1. Reach down with right arm to scoop their leg.

  2. Use feet to spring on the right shoulder to knock partner over and land on left side.

  3. Reach up to control end of leg to straighten and connect to chest.

  4. Extend backwards with knees pinched to finish.

Kneeshield wave setup to belly up kneebar finish.

  • Starting in bottom kneeshield halfguard.

  1. Scoop their leg with your right arm and place your hand in their left armpit.

  2. Using your grips, pull them up on your kneeshield as you fall back on your shoulders.

  3. Push/wave them to the left to make them post their hands on the mat.

  4. Adjust your legs so body is square, pinching knees and crossing feet above their hips.

  5. Hug leg and elevate hips up to finish.

Kneebar from omoplata when they posture up.

  • Starting in closed guard.

  1. Transition to omoplata (attacking their left arm).

  2. *Partner postures up*

  3. Scoop their leg with your right arm as you bring your right knee inside their thigh and left foot behind their butt.

  4. Use the grips and legs to straighten the leg out.

  5. Fall on side and finish kneebar.

Side control sweeps

Execute stickshift sweep when they pass from halfguard.

  • Starting with halfguard with partner having underhook.

  1. Using right hand, control the crossface wrist and push towards their belly.

  2. Reach over their back with left hand to grab their lat as you escape hips away.

  3. As partner passes, roll head underneath their body to get parralel, pull lat and roll to get on top.

  4. Secure kimura grip and finish side kimura.

Knee bundle power bridge

  • Starting in bottom side control with partner having crossface and underhook.

  1. Move right hand down to block their left knee.

  2. Walk feet and hips to the right to sandwich their knees together and laying almost parralel to partner.

  3. Bridge over right shoulder and extene left arm up to crossface partner while keeping their knees blocked.

  4. Use momentum of bridge to end up in top side control.

Omoplata

Triangle trap to omoplata to leg grab rollover sweep to mount.

  • Starting with closed guard.

  1. Setup triangle trap (trapping their left arm).

  2. Using right hand, push their left arm towards your right hip and bring legs over to omoplata.

  3. Switch wrist grip to left hand as you use your right hand to scoop leg shoulder deep.

  4. Scoot hips backwards under their body trying to lay on left side.

  5. Using legscoop grip, roll onto belly to get sweep.

  6. Use a backstep and finish on full mount.

Vs triangle defence to posture backroll REMOVED

Kneebar defence (15)

Kneebar escape in top halfguard, triangle legs to mount.

  • Starting in top halfguard.

  1. *Partner attempts kneebar from bottom halfguard.*

  2. Position weight over left knee being attacked turnaway placing hands on the mat.

  3. Using hands to support, backstep and triangle legs before landing.

  4. Obtain head control and sprawl hips back to break grips.

  5. Finish on mount.

Kneebar escape in top halfguard, missed triangle to bellydown kickout.

  • Starting in top halfguard.

  1. *Partner attempts kneebar from bottom halfguard.*

  2. Position weight over left knee being attacked turnaway placing hands on the mat.

  3. When back step attempt gets stopped and leg is straightened, stay balanced on hands to remain bellydown.

  4. Place right foot on the butt to help push away while point toes on left foot to help slip out easier.

  5. After leg is free, turn and and face partner to finish.

Kneebar to 50/50 to standing 50/50 pass to kneeride.

  • Starting in top halfguard.

  1. *Partner attempts kneebar from bottom halfguard.*

  2. Position weight over left knee being attacked turnaway placing hands on the mat.

  3. When back step attempt gets stopped and leg is straightened, stay balanced on hands to remain bellydown.

  4. From bellydown position, turn back and get leg over to 50/50 position.

  5. Position weight on leg and stand up.

  6. Drive hips forwards to reveal feet and untangle with hands.

  7. Extract leg and pass to kneeride.

Darce defence (10)

Early darce defence from halfguard using wrist grab to armdrag back take.

  • Starting in bottom halfguard with underhook.

  1. *Partner attempts to go for the darce.*

  2. Extend spine and neck to move away from their darce hand.

  3. Switch the left underhook grip to control of their darce wrist.

  4. Pass darce wrist grip to right hand and grab over their back/waist with left hand now.

  5. Climb up to get chest square with partner's back.

  6. Use setbelt to drag them down and finish with back control and hooks.

Late darce escape side roll to top position, to rotational grip break.

  • Starting in bottom halfguard with underhook.

  1. *Partner locks in darce and falls on left hip for rotational finish.*

  2. Use the left hand that's trapped to block their top knee (right knee).

  3. Using your right shoulder/arm as a post, jump over their legs to the other side.

  4. Rotate your body to try to get your chest square with your partner's chest to remove slack in their grips.

  5. Wedge their body with your left arm as a cross face and right arm blocking their left hip and drive body forward to break their grips.

  6. Finish in side control with underhook and crossface.

Back lapel choke defence (10)

Control side back escape to top side control.

  • Starting in back control with lapel choke locked in (right arm choke).

  1. Use left hand to get sleeve grip and reach up with right arm to grab tricep grip and pull down and away to loosen choke.

  2. Move back of head onto the mat and start turning in towards them.

  3. Use feet to push hips over their leg onto the mat.

  4. Move right elbow to the ground and start to come up.

  5. Finish in side control with left hand controlling pants pointing knees away.

Bow and arrow slide escape to top side control.

  • Starting in back control with bow and arrow choke locked in (right arm choke).

  1. Use left hand to get sleeve grip and reach up with right arm to grab tricep grip and pull down and away to loosen choke.

  2. Slide hips down as you move their choking arm over your head.

  3. Bridge up on their leg so you can get shoulders on the mat.

  4. Turn into them and finish in closed guard.

Mount escapes (10)

Sidemount escape to butterfly guard to collar tie butterfly sweep.

  • Starting in bottom side mount (laying on left side).

  1. Control their ankle/shin making sure there's no gap to give up underhooks.

  2. Walk on your side to use hips to bring their foot out.

  3. Using hands to keep foot out, quickly escape hips back and use space to slide your right knee in for butterfly hook.

  4. As partner backsteps to get away from butterfly hook, use it to hitch a free ride up to butterfly guard, switch right hook for left hook.

  5. Switch to elbow and collartie control.

  6. Fall onto right side and finish butterfly sweep and finish in side control.

Kipping escape from bottom mount to single leg-x to scoop sweep. (NEW)

  • Starting in bottom mount

  1. Place both hands on hips to frame.

  2. Lean on left side.

  3. Use kipping motion to create space to bring left knee in between the legs.

  4. Connect right foot to the hip to get to single leg-x

  5. Switch to scoop grip.

  6. Kick up to sweep.

  7. Finish on feet, passing to kneeride.

Bridging mount escape to single leg-X to scoop sweep. REMOVED
