Wrestling (10)

Double leg takedown from knees to side control with cross face and underhook

  1. Grab both legs behind the knees with head on the outside.

  2. Step up on the same side as head.

  3. Posture and drive sideways ending in side control with crossface and underhook.

Failed double leg from bodylock sprawl, sit out to back bodylock, finish with back hooks in back control.

  1. Shoot for double leg on knees.

  2. Opponent does a body lock sprawl forcing hands on the mat.

  3. Come up to 4 point position and sit out to one side.

  4. Back body lock to back control with hooks.

Passing Open Guard (15)

Torreando to kneeride drill.

  • Start standing with hands holding both ankles

  1. Swing feet to the right.

  2. Take two steps left to kneeride, one hand still on far ankle.

  3. Reset back to two hands on ankle.

  4. Swing fee to the left.

  5. Take two steps right to kneeride, one hand still on far ankle.

  6. Reset back to two hands on ankle.

  7. Repeat for 4 reps.

Starting from standing, perform a kneeslide to side control with crossface and underhook.

  • Start standing with opponent on their back with an open guard.

  1. Lower height down placing hand down on knee and hip with knee in between.

  2. Slide over opponent's leg.

  3. Finish with crossface and underhook.

  4. Reset and do other side.

  5. Starting from knees, scoop both legs for stack pass.

  6. Start standing with opponent on their back with an open guard.

  7. Place both hands on shins pressure legs to their chest.

  8. Drop to knees and scoop both legs.

  9. Walk knees in closer and lock tight gable grip around hips.

  10. Hold and posture up onto feet to place opponent on their upper back.

  11. Grab the trap and use pressure to turn the corner to pass.

  12. Finish in side control with hands 10-4(left), 8-2(right).

Side Control Submissions (10)

Side kimura starting from side control

  • Starting in side control with opponent with arms in pray position.

  1. Control wrist and push hand to the mat.

  2. Slide other hand under and grab own wrist.

  3. Position hip over shoulder.

  4. Step other foot above the head.

  5. Elevate elbow by leaning back and looking over shoulder.

Farside armbar starting from side control

  • Starting in side control with opponent with arms in pray position.

  1. Get inside scoop grip on tricep and pull them up on their side.

  2. Post other hand behind their head.

  3. Step over and place foot towards the middle of their spine.

  4. Pivot 180 degrees and sit close to their shoulder.

  5. Extend arm and finish armbar over the hip.

Mount Submissions (10)

Americana starting from mount

  • Starting in side control with opponent with arms in pray position.

  1. Place hands on opponent's wrist and elbow on one side.

  2. Drive their arm to the mat, placing elbow next to their neck/trap.

  3. Slide other hand under their elbow and grab own wrist.

  4. Lift elbow to 45 degrees and draw their hand down the mat.

  5. Starting in mount with praying hands position, switching to side mount when opponent turns and finish with armbar.

  6. Starting in side control with opponent with arms in pray position.

  7. Place hands on opponent's wrist and elbow on one side and drive to mat.

  8. Opponent turns to protect arm -> transition to side mount with seatbelt control.

  9. Keeping figure 4 grip, bring arm over opponent's head.

  10. Lean towards their feet to throw leg over their head.

  11. Extend arm and finish armbar over the hip.

Back Control Submissions (5)

Take the back from side mount and finish with rear naked choke.

  • Starting in mount.

  1. Opponent turns -> transition to side mount with seat belt.

  2. Sit back to secure back control with seatbelt and hooks.

  3. Finish with rear naked choke.

Closed Guard Submissions (10)

Toplock armbar from closed guard

  1. Push elbow towards centreline with a collartie with other hand.

  2. Angle and lock guard over shoulder (toplock)

  3. Switch elbow grip to wrist control + switch collartie to leg scoop

  4. Pivot off back to create more angle and bring leg infront and over head.

  5. Elevate hips to finish armbar whilst keeping leg scoop grip.

Kimura from closed guard

  • Start with closed guard with hands on hips.

  1. Circle hands onto the mat grabbing wrist control.

  2. Sit up and lock figure 4 grip.

  3. Throw leg over back and angle hips towards head.

  4. Move hand towards back of opponent's head.

Closed Guard Sweeps (15)

Perform a hip bump sweep to mount when opponent hides hands in praying position.

  • Start with closed guard with hands on hips.

  1. Look to control wrists -> opponent postures and keeps hands to chest.

  2. Open guard placing feet on ground, sititng up posting on hand behind.

  3. Elevate hips and use to drive opponent onto their back.

  4. Finish on mount with hands at 10-2.

Perform a back sweep to mount when opponent stands in closed guard.

  • Start with closed guard.

  1. Opponent stands up.

  2. Control the back of the ankles/heel.

  3. Open guard to drop hips and bounce back to knock opponent over.

  4. Walk hands in an arc to finish on mount with hands at 10-2.

Perform a waiter sweep to mount when opponent stands in closed guard.

  • Start with closed guard.

  1. Opponent stands up.

  2. Grip around ankle with a gable grip elbow/shoulder deep.

  3. Keeping guard closed, bridge hips up and to the side on trapped ankle till opponent falls.

  4. Let go of ankle and walk hands in an arc to mount with hands at 10-2.

Mount Escapes (15)

Elbow escape to halfguard with underhook, then transition to closed guard when lost underhook position.

  • Start in bottom mount with their hands at 10-2.

  1. Frame hips, with bottom elbow inside thigh.

  2. Straighten same side leg on the floor and use knee to move their ankle out.

  3. Trap the ankle together with the other foot

  4. Use elbow and legs to elevate their knee off ground to switch hips, trapping their leg above the knee.

  5. Establish underhook with halfguard.

  6. Opponent gains the underhook from top position.

  7. Frame far bicep and knee.

  8. Hip escape and transition to closed guard.

Trap arm and perform a bridge and roll.

  • Start in bottom mount with their hands off the mat.

  1. Bridge straight to get their hands on the mat and trap the arm.

  2. Bridge to the trapped arm side while blocking their foot to sweep and end up in their closed guard.

  3. Attempt a bridge and roll and perform elbow escape to halfguard/close guard when opponent steps up on foot to counter bridge and roll.

  4. Start in bottom mount with their hands off the mat.

  5. Bridge straight to get their hands on the mat and trap the arm.

  6. Bridge to the trapped arm side while blocking their foot to sweep.

  7. Opponent manages to post their foot up to avoid being swept.

  8. Transition to elbow escape to halfguard with underhook.

  9. Opponent gains the underhook from top position.

  10. Frame far bicep and knee.

  11. Hip escape and transition to closed guard.

Back Escapes (10)

Escape back control on the control side and finish on top in side control.

  • Starting in back control on control side.

  1. Place back of head on the mat turning shoulders slightly.

  2. Turn hips in the same direction slighlty to offset bottom hook.

  3. Step over and/or bring hips over bottom hook touching the mat.

  4. Block their knee to avoid mount and come up onto knees into side control with crossface and underhook control.

Escape back control on the choke side and finish on top in side control.

  • Starting in back control on choke side.

  1. Grab two hands on the choking wrist and bring over head.

  2. Place back of head on the mat turning shoulders slightly.

  3. Turn hips in the same direction slighlty to offset bottom hook.

  4. Step over and/or bring hips over bottom hook touching the mat.

  5. Release wrist and block their knee to avoid mount and come up onto knees into side control with crossface and underhook control.
